Is that a cat or a bobcat up that tree? I am wondering because bobcats have very short tails. What a naughty dog! :)

That cat looks pretty angry to have to be up that tree! It was probably just wandering through that nearby field of daisies when the dog disturbed it. Cats, however, are MUCH more patient than dogs. The dog will quickly lose interest and leave. The cat will just wait a while to eventually come back down. Or maybe the person who took the picture got the dog to go away and leave the cat alone. That's what I would have done if I saw a dog bothering a cat like this.

Alas, this is a tough call. The dog is adorable and the feline has the advantage of its sharp claws and smarts. Cats forever! Doggies too. Luckily most dogs are silly scamps and as bj said they lose interest quickly. Some cats and dogs get along--in a wonderful world we'd all get along. Warmest wishes,Raghda. Dog doesn't seem to be angry. May be that dog only wanted to play with the cat.

My store dogs (I have two who come to work with me, and there are also 4 kitties on duty) have informed me that their dog friend in the picture had only good intentions. They say they can't understand it when their own cat friends insist on jumping to the top shelves and making loud hissing noises, and sometimes scratching the noses of the dogs when the dogs try to lick the cats. My dogs think this is very unfair.
But the cats, when they choose, come sleep all curled up next to the dogs. Sometimes on top of the big old dog, who is very patient.
Still, I am pretty sure the photographer called the dog away, and the cat in the photo came down and was happy.

My cats say that the dog made the poor bobcat(or cat)climb up in a tree because they were playing tag and the dog was it. MEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWW
