Thanks for the picture of a beautiful cat in a moment of repose. Also, I checked out the Cat World website, including the "cat of the week" archive. It is FULL of useful information and loved pets. There is always something new to see and learn! It definitely seems like a cat's world at times, and it's nice to be living in it. This past week in Denver, Colorado, a zookeeper was mauled to death by a 140 pound jaguar. No one knows what she was doing in the exhibit, because that's not allowed. At first I thought a 140 lb. jaguar is like seven of my cat George, who weighs about 20 pounds. But it's not the same, because, instead of 7 sets of small teeth and claws, a jaguar has one large set of claws and fangs like daggers, plus a strong predatory instinct. I am very glad to hear you're continuing to excel at school! That's wonderful. It's nice to have time off, but it's nice to accomplish things, too. Having some kind of goal is an important part of feeling happy and successful in life. I wish continued happiness to you and your family.

Well done for keeping up the good work at school. I went and visited CatWorld, and found out that some of the lilies in my garden are poisonous to my cats! I'll be digging them up this spring, so thank-you for the link.

    Peace,
    Fiona

Dear Raghda--This cat is more beautiful than most humans. And I am sure that it has no idea of its own beauty or why we love it for this quality. And this is partly why we love our pets--their lack of human vanity and jealousy. Of course it also helps that they can't tell us off the way our human friends might. Glad you are adjusting to your school.

My sister had a cat that looked a lot like this. It was a Himalayan. Her cat died recently, but don't be sad. The cat was 20 years old and had a happy peaceful life.

    Raghda:

I am glad to hear you are back at school, and hope you do well.

I wanted to pass along this link to a story about an Iraqi kitty who was adopted by some US soldiers and now lives at the headquarters of the unit back in America. I thought you might like it.

I was checking out the news on the website for a local TV station and came across a link I thought you might enjoy. It shows the photos from a "cutest kitten" contest. You can view all 100 pictures as a slideshow. I only had time to look at a few, but they sure are cute! Aren't all kittens? Anyway, I think the website address is as follows-- I hope it works if you try it! -- It's supposed to be one long string of letters and characters, with no spaces in between, but may appear on separate lines below because of how I had to type my comment to get it to fit in the text window of your blog when I wrote this message): http://www.wmur.com/photovote_
