Hi Raghda. When I see another of your cute cat photos I wonder how the photographer got the kitty to sit still. My photos of my cats have lots of blurs in them. And what IS that blue water really, do you think? Pretty! Good thoughts to you and your family.

Lots of light (more than your average in-camera flash), fast shutter speed. Then even if the kitty moves some, it doesn't blur. The pros also take *lots* of pictures they don't publish for every one you get to see.

    Hello Baghdad girl,

I hope this finds you feeling well.
The news being shown from Iraq is so terrible lately, I'm not allowed to watch it anymore. I was shocked today to find my uncle weeping over his newspaper. He's a math professor, not the type to be emotional, so things must be pretty bad. I'm so glad you have discovered that cats are a great way to get your mind off your troubles.

I have 3 of them. Punch is a big cranky, swaggering male who thinks he owns the house and to be honest: he really does. He earned his name as a little kitten by joining me at bedtime and punching me
if I tried to take up his side of the bed!

Oops, time for lunch, so more later....

    Just curious...

Your cats look so stressed out (not the ones photographed by professionals) . War hurts our furry friends too, huh? What do you feed them? How do they handle the heat? Do they need a lot more water in your climate? Our cats need a quart of fresh water a day in our semi-arid climate or they develop kidney ailments.

Dear Ragha Zaid, I encourge you to continue with publishing cats because I like cats too much , My name is Ala'a and I am from the Nineveh Province of Iraq. I have started a new Blog intending to tell others what it is like to be a child living and growing up in Iraq and suffering under UN sanctions, Saddam, wars, American invasion, and now terrorists. I hope to give a voice to the millions of Iraqi children all who have suffered and many who have died. I hope to tell about their lives and share their stories so the world can know what life is like for children in Iraq. I hope you might find some time to visit my Blog www.childrensvoiceiraqkids.blogspot.com . If you like what I am trying to do I hope you will link to my blog from yours and maybe tell your readers about "Children's Voice From Iraq" I enjoy reading your blog and I would be interested in any comments, suggestions or stories you might have for my Blog. I will hope to hear from you. Thank you very much! Salam, Ala'a

    Hi Raghda,

I've been missing you. I hope your homework isn't too overwhelming. Take care and give your cats some petting from me.

Yes, Anonymous, that was a very brave post.... not.

How does it feel poisoning a young girl's blog with crappy comments like that??
    Heroic? Funny?
Suppose that just shows what kind of a person you are....

Apologies for posting anonymous as well, Raghda, but I don't want that idiot to come and spam my blog too. ;)

Raghda, i am appalled by what the anonymous poster of 7:06 posted on your blog. Please remember that we are NOT all like that here in the USA.
